Salesforce Optimizer Alternatives: What Replaced It and Where Wrenk Fits
Salesforce Optimizer is retired. Salesforce lists the Optimizer App as officially retired, with a date of June 1, 2026. If you are here because it disappeared from Setup, this page maps what to use now and where Wrenk fits.
Salesforce Optimizer is retired as of June 1, 2026. There is no single replacement: Health Check in Setup covers security settings, Org Check from Salesforce Labs inspects metadata and technical debt, and Wrenk offers a connected diagnosis that reads your org directly with scheduled checks and drift detection.
What happened to Optimizer
Optimizer was a Salesforce app used as a general org report. Salesforce Admins announced its retirement for the Winter '26 release, and Salesforce's past-retirements list records June 1, 2026. Any comparison that treats it as a current tool is out of date.
There is no single one-to-one replacement. Its job is now split across a few tools. For a fuller walkthrough of the replacement options and when each one fits, see Salesforce Optimizer Is Retired: What to Use Instead.
What to use for what
| What you want to know | Where to look | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Are my security settings in line with a baseline? | Health Check (built into Setup) | Summary score against a baseline such as the Salesforce Baseline Standard; up to five custom baselines. Security settings only. |
| What metadata and technical debt have built up? | Org Check (Salesforce Labs) | Free. Installed into the org you want to analyze from the AppExchange. Not a Salesforce product; no Salesforce support. |
| How do I compare with peers, and what should I look at first? | Wrenk free health check | Short questionnaire, peer percentile, results on the page. No account, no org connection. An estimate from your answers, not a measurement of your org. |
| What is actually in the org, measured directly? | A connected diagnosis (Wrenk) | Reads the org directly. This is where performance and technical debt get measured rather than estimated. |
Where Wrenk fits
Wrenk starts with a connected diagnosis of your org, followed by plan-first fixes. Here is what that means in practice:
Reads the org directly
Performance (Apex execution times, API call volume against limits, storage headroom) and technical debt (unused fields and objects, deprecated API versions still in use, dead metadata) are measured instead of self-reported.
Scheduled health checks with drift detection
You find out something changed without remembering to run a report.
Fixes are planned first
Each shows its risk and rollback path before anything changes, and production changes need your explicit approval.
Change sets can be promoted and rolled back
Promote changes between orgs and roll back if needed.
Backlog work
Import, triage and execution.
Salesforce, HubSpot and ServiceNow
Monitor multiple platforms and orgs from one place.
The free health check is a different thing
The free health check is a questionnaire. Three answers produce a preliminary peer percentile; up to ten refine it. It needs no account and does not connect to your org. Because it is self-reported, it does not score performance or technical debt. It tells you where you sit against peers and where to look first, not what is in the org.
When free tools are enough
Health Check plus Org Check is a reasonable setup if your org is small or well-documented and someone has time to run them and act on the results.
You probably want more if findings pile up faster than they are cleared, if you want scheduled checks instead of a manual run after each release, if you need changes to be safe and reversible, or if HubSpot or ServiceNow sit alongside Salesforce.
If nobody has the capacity to act on findings at all, Wrenk Managed Operations does the work for you: Wrenk triages and clears your backlog.
